Review by hotel critic
As an environmental scientist deeply concerned with responsible travel, my recent stay at Langham offered a mix of luxury and value. The room was pristine, offering a retreat from the bustling city with its soundproofed walls and plush terrace to enjoy the stunning views. However, despite impeccable housekeeping and room service, the nearby construction noise detracted from the peaceful ambiance. The breakfast included in the stay was a highlight, featuring a diverse array of global cuisine and top-notch barista coffee. The courteous staff made us feel truly special, especially during our anniversary, adding a personal touch to our visit. The location was convenient, with a complimentary shuttle service to explore the city.Though the Chuan Spa was a disappointment due to overcrowding, the beautifully maintained garden area provided a serene alternative. For travelers seeking a mix of luxury and affordability, Langham offers a compelling option in Auckland.
